Unravel

I haven't been painting for a long time with everything being so empty (both emotionally and financially speaking) in my life at the moment. But I thought that it's only appropriate that I should post some of my work. Just some that I'm particularly proud of or just digging right now.

This is a crayon drawing from April 2006, titled "Unravel". It's based on a photograph that I saw in a fashion magazine. I remember the photographer's name being Micheal Wooley. I was glad I could include it in my portfolio when I was sending out applications, because I liked it. It's strange. I don't think it's drawn very well, it's flawed in more ways than I can probably distinguish on my own, but I like that it's one of the more loose drawings I've done. I wasn't trying to be true to the photograph, I just got into a mood and went with the flow.

thank you. :) I kind of like her paranoid worrisome stare, too.
